When does Season 4 of Ghosts come out?

When does Season 4 of Ghosts come out? The hit sitcom earned an early renewal from CBS in March 2024 and it is expect to return as part of the 2024-25 broadcast season. Production for Season 4 is set to commence in July 2024 and it will likely premiere in the fall, though an exact date has not yet been confirmed.

It is also unclear which cast members will be returning, and fans are the most worried about Brandon Scott Jones’ future on the show. They can rest assured, though, as showrunners Joe Wiseman and Joe Port have already discussed their plans to bring Isaac back. “We’re going to quickly know that Isaac is missing and who took him [and], immediately, be able to put the wheels in motion to try to get him back right away,” Port told TVLine after the Season 3 finale aired. Comparing this cliffhanger to Season 2’s and Flower’s Season 3 story arc, Wiseman added: “It’s not going to be a repeat of them looking for him for weeks and weeks.”

Jones also confirmed his return, joking to Deadline: “That means I still have a job.” He added, “I have no idea how they’re gonna play it out. I don’t know if we’ll ever see Patience. But I think it’s a cool way to expand the world and remind people that there are so many more ghosts on this property than we’ve even seen just yet.”

With Flower now out of the well, we will likely see Sheila Carrasco on our screens again, as the actress’ Season 3 storyline was written to accommodate her maternity leave. We can most likely expect to Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar return as well.

Another big storyline in Season 3 was Isaac and fellow Revolutionary War ghost Nigel’s (John Hartman) relationship. The couple were about to get married, but Isaac didn’t feel ready and called off the wedding in the finale. Wiseman told TVLine that there may still be hope for the pair, though, implying that Hartman will also return as Nigel. “Despite the fact that they’re not going to be together now doesn’t mean that there’s no future for them,” the EP said. “Isaac just, as Sam puts it at the end of the episode, wasn’t ready and that’s OK, and it’s better to realize that now than go through with a second marriage that he doesn’t feel totally right about.”
