A new CBS show is filming scenes in downtown Vancouver this week.
American actor and filmmaker Justin Hartley has been shooting season three of Tracker in Vancouver this fall and will continue through next April.
Hartley stars as Colter Shaw, a lone wolf travelling across America in an RV and helping police and strangers solve crimes “until his latest case changes everything,” according to Imdb.com.
TNG Television Productions Inc. will film scenes for the show at the Banffshire Apartments at 610 Jervis St. on Friday, starting at 6 a.m. and continuing until midnight. The shoot includes interior scenes in the building, exterior ones in the alley, and some in front of the building.
The CBS series is based on the novel by Jeffery Deaver, who also wrote The Bone Collector, a crime thriller adapted to a movie starring Angelina Jolie and Denzel Washington.
The crew will wrap up set on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tracker will cause road closures on Friday
Several road closures are in effect for Friday, including a full closure of the 600 block of Jervis St, from Melville to the alley, and a local traffic-only closure of a portion of the alley south of the 1200 block of Melville Street.
Several temporary “no stopping” zones will be in place.
Justin Hartley was also filming scenes for the show in January inside and around the Wedgewood Hotel in Vancouver.
