Who Is Sidwell on General Hospital? The Character Everyone Is Talking About md13

There are still so many questions surrounding the character of Jenz Sidwell on General Hospital, so let’s go over what we know so far. The character first appeared in the Aug. 30, 2024, episode of GH, played by actor Carlo Rota, who viewers might recognize from his roles on shows like La Femme Nikita24, and Jane the Virgin. Is Sidwell a Cassadine? The guy remains a bit of a mystery, but here’s everything we know:

Jenz Sidwell was first introduced holding Lucky Spencer and Dr. Isaiah Gannon captive in his compound in South Africa. After Lucky helped Isaiah escape, Sidwell played poker with his remaining prisoner, warning him that he was paying for his life and had to keep winning. He also introduced the new lady in his life, who Lucky immediately recognized as Holly Sutton, but they kept their connection quiet.

While at a casino, Sidwell and Holly met Anna Devane and Jason Morgan playing cards and invited them back to his camp for more games. Anna claimed she wanted to help move his diamonds, but he was wary and proposed that his guests/prisoners play cards for their lives. But Jack Brennan at the WSB called in an air strike on the compound which allowed them all to escape. However, when Sidwell realized that Holly had stolen his diamonds, he vowed to get them back!

In November, Sidwell appeared in Port Charles and abducted Sasha Gilmore from the Quartermaine estate to use as leverage to get her mother, Holly, to give up the gems. He revealed to Jason that he’d set a bomb at the warehouse and forced him to hand over the diamonds in exchange for Sasha’s location so he could rescue her before the building exploded.

As 2025 began, Lucy Coe helped Jenz settle in at Wyndemere and offered to help introduce him to Port Charles society. She filled him in on some history of the residents but he remained cagey about his own. He met Ava Jerome at the gallery looking for art for his new home and invited her to come help him find the perfect spot to hang it. Mayor Laura Collins met with Sidwell about his business in Port Charles and he defended his actions in South Africa and reminded them that he’d never been charged with kidnapping Sasha.

Sidwell allowed himself to be charmed by Jordan Ashford, and met with Drew Quartermaine about building the new esplanade on Pier 55, using eminent domain to take over Sonny Corinthos’ property. Lucy introduced Jenz to the staff at Deception as a potential investor, and it was revealed (to viewers) that Natalia Morales is his ex-wife! After Sasha tried to sabotage his deal with Deception, Sidwell offered her $250,000 if she told everyone her kidnapping was just a misunderstanding. Jason interrupted and held the villain at gunpoint demanding to know if he’d blown up Sonny’s apartment but Sidwell denied it.

Later, Sasha accepted Sidwell’s deal and Natalia accused him of staging a hostile takeover of Deception but he insisted he was on the level. Alexis Davis arrived at Wyndemere at his invitation and Sidwell showed her a dagger he’d found. She explained it was Helena Cassadine’s dagger she used to kill her mother and dropped it on the floor before leaving, upset. Sidwell carefully picked the weapon up with a cloth to avoid adding fingerprints.

Sonny confronted Sidwell to inquire about his connection to a hit man named Solinski, but Sidwell insisted he wanted to work with Sonny, not against him, and even offered to help find out who hired the guy. When Lucy asked him to help fund the Nurses Ball, he insisted on paying for the whole thing. While having another confrontation with Natalia, Sidwell was surprised when his son, Marco Rios, arrived at Wyndemere. But not as surprised as Marco was to see his parents! He got Brook Lynn on board with Deception doing business with him, and eventually, even Tracy agreed to the deal.
