Will Deeks finally become a full-time agent on NCIS: Los Angeles?
If there’s only one thing we’ve waited more than a decade to see happen on NCIS: Los Angeles, it’s for Deeks to become a full-time agent. There’s a chance that may happen now.
During the most recent episode, “Angry Karen,” Deeks and Kensi had a chat about buying a house. That led to Deeks thinking about his job right now. He’s currently splitting his time between the team and the LAPD as a liaison, which has left him feeling somewhat left out at times.
And while Kensi admitted to Nell that she liked the peace and quiet that came to not working with Deeks during the episode, that doesn’t mean she wants him to be gone from the team completely with any restructuring in the LAPD. Nor does it mean she wants her husband to be unhappy.
One thing she brought up during the episode was that Deeks could become a member of the NCIS. It’s not like he doesn’t know the ropes and wouldn’t fit in. While Deeks brought up the chances of NCIS sending him anywhere, Kensi pointed out that Hetty wouldn’t let something like that happen. And Hetty has a lot of pull.
We didn’t get any answers by the end of the episode, but it offers hope.I agree with Kensi. Deeks needs to be a full time NCIS Agent. Technically he should’ve done that a LONG time ago so he doesn’t have to be the Liason splitting with NCIS and the LAPD #NCISLA
There’s no doubt that it’s time for Deeks to be a full-time agent. He’s worked with the team long enough, and he is good at his job.
Okay, there are times he gets a bit too much with his bad jokes. He can try too hard to seem hip. But when it comes to getting the job done, he can do it. It’s his performance on the job that counts.
By Deeks becoming a full-time agent, he could also work with other members of the team more. He ends up with Kensi a lot, and we know she would like some time away from him. Plus, the time we see with Kensi and Fatima together show that we need more of this.
Roundtree is going to need a partner. Wouldn’t it make sense to put Deeks with him? Or maybe we could see a lot more partnership mixups, giving the show just a little bit of new life.
