Okay, we know Bridgertonseason 3 wrapped in May, but we already need more where that came from. Thankfully, season 4 has begun production (and everybody cheered, feel free to jot that down, Lady Whistledown). That being said, a few new faces are joining the cast as love interests, family members of said love interests, and so on. The next season is set to follow Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton and his all-consuming romance with Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha—and just like the three seasons before, it’s based on the best-selling novels by Julia Quinn.
But will all our fan faves in the ‘Ton return for more? Last season, Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley had less screen time as they were simultaneously working on Wickedand The Little Mermaid—and fans are hoping to see more of them, as well as Phoebe Dyvenor and Nicola Coughlin. Here are the cast members who are coming back for Bridgerton season 4.
First things first… is Simone Ashley going to be in Bridgerton season 4?
After Netflix announced next season’s cast list on September 17, fans who burn for Bridgerton were quick to notice that Simone Ashley’s name was absent. But, does that *really* mean she’s gone for good?
There’s a chance she could still make an appearance as showrunner Jess Brownell told Teen Voguein May 2024, “I think the strength of sending them off to India for a little while is that it does leave the door open for them to come back, schedules allowing.”
“I think, understandably, when any of our lead actors have given over their lives for their season, in future seasons, we want to be supportive of the fact that they do have other projects coming in, and to ask actors to come back just to be in the background is not really fair to them,” she continued, “We love [Jonathan Bailey] and Simone and we’ll have them back as much as we are able to.”
As for Simone, she seemed to be open to reprising her role as Kate in June 2024. Simone said, “Both Johnny and I, we adore our characters, Kate and Anthony, so much and their relationship and what they mean for the show. I think we’ll do all we can with our schedules to make it work so that we can, hopefully,” she said at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco, per People.
So, who *is* coming back for Bridgerton season 4?
Great Q! Here are all the folks coming back to the ‘Ton for season 4, according to Netflix:
