The next spin-off of the hit series Yellowstone is reportedly in talks with some big Hollywood names to lead the main cast.
The fifth season of Taylor Sheridan’s flagship Paramount drama will conclude this November, bidding farewell to star Kevin Costner, who left to pursue his next big-screen project, Horizon: An American Saga.
All eyes will then turn to the upcoming chapter, tentatively titled The Madison. According to TVLine, Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer are on the verge of signing on to star in the series.
Additionally, Patrick J Adams, a former co-star of Meghan Markle from Suits, is also being considered for a leading role.
While plot details remain under wraps, it’s speculated that the story will centre around affluent matriarch Stacy Clyburn, who relocates to Montana following the tragic plane crash deaths of her husband and brother-in-law.
Casting continues for several supporting roles, with Beau Garrett of The Good Doctor fame also rumoured to be in the running for a part.
Matthew McConaughey, an Oscar winner, was previously rumoured to star, and it’s unclear if Kurt Russell, known for The Thing, will replace him or portray a completely different character.
Fans are hopeful that the wait for the next instalment of Yellowstone won’t be as lengthy as the two-year gap between seasons 5a and 5b.
Filming is slated to kick off in Montana, New York, and Texas later this month, with a premiere date set for sometime in 2025, reports the Mirror.
