’Yellowstone’s Beth and Rip Spin-Off Just Got a Great Update

Taylor Sheridan is officially making November feel like Christmas for fans of Yellowstone and Landman. After wrapping up the flagship Yellowstone series in 2024, Paramount+ is doubling down on the Dutton universe with an ambitious lineup this fall. And leading the charge? Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser’s long-awaited Yellowstone spinoff centered on Beth and Rip. Per Paramount Global’s Q1 2025 earnings call, the Yellowstone spinoff starring Beth and Rip will premiere globally on Paramount+ in November.

The show, rumored—but now seemingly debunked—to be titled Dutton Ranch, will air alongside the second season of Landman, the Billy Bob Thornton oil boom drama that’s become one of Sheridan’s most-watched series. It had been previously confirmed Landman Season 2 would drop in November, and now it seems to be official that Beth and Rip are joining the party too.

“Now turning to Yellowstone, the series remains the number one start driver and the number one engagement driver for us internationally. And the momentum will continue as we expand the franchise with three new series, starting with the Dutton Ranch, which will premiere globally in Q4,” Paramount Global said during the call. Further in the call, they stated: “Last year’s smash hit, Landman returns in November plus the all new Yellowstone franchise extensions, the Dutton Ranch.”

What Is the Rip and Beth Spin-Off About?

Details about the Beth and Rip series are still under wraps, but we do know the show will pick up where YellowstoneSeason 5 left off. In the final episodes, Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) moved to a new ranch in Dillon, Montana, looking to start fresh while carrying the weight of everything that went down at the Dutton Ranch.

Rip hinted at a new chapter of ranching in Montana, while Beth seemed ready to bring her business acumen into the fold. That sets up a more personal, lower-scale—though no less dramatic—story for the spinoff, focused on the power couple building their legacy away from the chaos of John Dutton’s empire. Despite early reports suggesting the show would be called Dutton Ranch, Hauser cleared that up in an interview, saying, “That’s not the name of it,” though he didn’t reveal what the official title is. Regardless of what it’s called, Sheridan has set expectations sky-high.

Here’s the kicker: While Landman Season 2 is well into production and expected to wrap soon, the Beth and Rip series hasn’t had as much public progress. With just a few months until its November premiere, pulling it off might sound ambitious.

Dutton Ranch (or whatever) and Landman Season 2 will stream on Paramount+.
