‘Young Sheldon’ Fans Are “Crying” Over Jim Parsons and Iain Armitage’s Viral TikTok
We’re just weeks away from the Young Sheldon series finale airing on CBS on Thursday, May 16, but the show decided to drop the ultimate sneak peek in a way that has fans going wild online.

Viewers may be aware that Jim Parsons will reprise his role as (older) Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory on the series finale of Young Sheldon. Well, the show decided to honor that in a hilarious clip posted on TikTok on April 29. As folks witnessed Iain Armitage (who plays the titular role on the spinoff sitcom) standing in costume on what appeared to be the set of the Coopers’ home, he joked that the social platform had a new filter he wanted to test.

Why Young Sheldon Didn't Include the Major Big Bang Storyline Fans Expected

“So apparently there’s a new filter that shows you what you look like when you grow up, and I don’t know how accurate this is gonna be,” he began the clip. “Let me try it out.”
As the clip quickly switched from Iain, fans were ecstatic to see Jim appear back on camera wearing his old Sheldon Cooper attire. And if that wasn’t enough, he immediately fell back into character, down to the mannerisms his character was famous for.
When fans caught wind of both Iain and Jim participating in the TikTok, the snippet immediately went viral β€” with over 33 million views on the app at the time of publishing this story. What’s more, folks couldn’t get over how similar the two actors were in the comments.

“HE ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE JIM PARSONS A BIT HOLD ON,” one person screamed. “HA!! This is fantastic, bazinga! πŸ₯°,” another wrote, referencing Sheldon’s famous saying on The Big Bang Theory. “I’m crying 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Jim is amazing for coming back,” a different follower added.

While things are still under wraps about Jim’s involvement, we love to see Jim playing up his appearance on social media! And given how Mayim Bialik is returning as Amy Farrah Fowler as well, we have a lot to look forward to.
