Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage will be back on our TV screens in just a few months. The first outing of this third Big Bang-verse show did an impressive job of establishing the young family created by Sheldon’s older brother and his wife. But as it’s a prequel, fans already know what the result for this couple will be. According to The Big Bang Theory, Georgie will end up having at least two ex-wives. We can gather that the first is Mandy (if the “first marriage” in the title wasn’t enough of a hint). But who’s the second? Some fans have a strong opinion about who it should be.

Years before Mandy arrived, Georgie’s first love in Young Sheldon was classmate Veronica. She first appeared as a typical rebellious teenager, but that act turned out to be a cover for her unstable home life. She became a genuine part of the Cooper family until her exit in the third season. Veronica was a fan-favorite character, and many still believe she and Georgie may reconcile someday. Of course, this is just willful speculation, and it’s unlikely to happen. Marrying a girl years after spending a few months talking to her, but never officially dating in high school, isn’t the most realistic life choice. Still, fans think that after Georgie’s divorce from Mandy, he will reconnect with Veronica. Maybe the two run into each other around town and rekindle that old spark. Feels like a Hallmark movie, huh? You really can’t fault fans for having a favorite character, especially when it’s rumored that she may have been intended to fill Mandy’s role as mother of Georgie’s child. Wait, what?

Was It Almost ‘Georgie & Veronica’s First Marriage’?

Yes, there’s an internet rumor that Georgie was initially meant to have a baby with Veronica. But her actor, Isabel May, was reportedly unavailable. Instead, the character of Mandy was created in her place. This rumor has been discussed in various online articles, but it has not been confirmed by any member of the show’s staff.
