It’s worth noting that most of the shows on Netflix’s list are far newer than Young Sheldon season 6, which originally aired on CBS from September 2022 to May 2023. In comparison, the relevant shows or seasons of Griselda, Alexander: The Making of a God, American Nightmare, Fool Me Once, Love on the Spectrum, The Brothers Sun, and NASCAR: Full Speed all released in 2024.
Young Sheldon‘s appearance on the list proves the Big Bang Theory franchise shouldn’t be underestimated, as it remains incredibly popular even 16+ years after the original show premiered. While Young Sheldon will soon come to an end, the wider franchise is far from complete. An offshoot of the original show is said to be in the very early stages at Max, and an upcoming CBS spinoff will focus on Mandy and Georgie, who have become two of Young Sheldon‘s most popular characters.
That show is being eyed to air as part of the 2024-25 season, with CBS likely wanting to continue the Big Bang Theory franchise’s run uninterrupted. It’s no wonder why; Young Sheldon‘s success on Netflix proves viewers remain more than interested in the adventures of Sheldon Cooper, as well as his family and friends.
