After six years, Young Sheldon season 7 officially brings back a dropped Georgie storyline ahead of his and Mandy’s sequel spinoff show.
Young Sheldon season 7 finally brings back a dropped Georgie plot from six years ago. Things are starting to get chaotic for the Coopers, as Young Sheldon winds down. After entering the back half of the season on the heels of Mandy and Georgie’s wedding, The Big Bang Theory prequel moves the story forward with a focus on Meemaw’s latest crisis that involves getting arrested and losing her business, while George and Mary deal with plumbing issues. Somehow, Sheldon and Missy get lost in the shuffle, but their older brother has made some significant character development ahead of his spinoff.
Unlike the rest of the Coopers, Georgie will continue his story on the small screen via the upcoming Young Sheldon sequel show, which will tackle his and Mandy’s arc as new parents. The still-untitled project is expected to fill its parent series’ slot during CBS’ 2024-2025 TV season. So, aside from wrapping up its current run, the family comedy/drama is also actively setting up the next expansion show in The Big Bang Theory universe. One way to do that is by revisiting a dropped Georgie arc from Young Sheldon season 2 in 2018.
Georgie Officially Enters The Tire Business In Young Sheldon Season 7
It Was In 2018 When Young Sheldon First Established George’s Secret Talent.
While Sheldon attempts to help solve Meemaw’s problem, Georgie and Mandy move out of the Coopers to the McAllisters in Young Sheldon season 7, episode 8, “An Ankle Monitor and a Big Plastic Crap House,” because of plumbing issues. While having Mandy’s parents as support is great for the couple, they still have to find a new way to earn money, since the illegal gambling den and all of its tied-up establishments have been shut down. That’s when Jim offers Georgie the chance to work on their tire story, setting up George’s future to be the owner of Dr. Tire.
George’s penchant for tires was already introduced in Young Sheldon season 2, episode 8, “An 8-Bit Princess and a Flat Tire Genius.” The arc was done on the heels of Jerry O’Connell’s debut as adult Georgie in The Big Bang Theory ahead of Sheldon and Amy’s wedding. It filled the narrative gaps regarding how George and Mary’s eldest was able to build a successful tire empire. Unfortunately, after that, Young Sheldon never moved that arc again, until Georgie met Mandy’s parents, who own a tire shop in season 6. Now, he will officially start working on tires again.
Will Georgie Take Over Mandy’s Tire Business In The Young Sheldon Spinoff
Mandy’s Family Has A Major Impact On George’s Fate As Dr. Tire’s Owner.
With only six episodes left, Young Sheldon doesn’t have enough time to actually see Georgie’s Dr. Tire arc. Luckily, his spinoff with Mandy can spend enough time with the storyline without rushing it. Georgie’s entry into the industry is just being set up by The Big Bang Theory prequel for its sequel show to further explore. Since the nerd-centric sitcom didn’t reveal how exactly Georgie was able to grow his business, it’s curious if he eventually takes over the McAllisters’ business in his show. That would be the most plausible start for his tire empire.
