So far, she seems to be sticking to that promise, albeit not without some minor shenanigans that aren’t out of the norm for adolescents their age.
Missy’s good behavior has been beneficial to the Coopers, especially since Young Sheldon season 7 is already chaotic as it is. Between George’s cheating scandal getting retconned and Mandy and Georgie tying the knot, not to mention Meemaw getting arrested, the family has gone through a lot in such a short period. Unfortunately for Missy, her redemption doesn’t mean a better future, considering what The Big Bang Theory revealed about it. As if things haven’t already been hectic for the Coopers, the family gets another crisis in Young Sheldon season 7, episode 8, when their only toilet gets backed up. It’s a brief statement that George doesn’t even respond to, but the declaration sets Missy on the path that will lead her to her The Big Bang Theory future.
Why Missy Not Going To College Explains Her Big Bang Theory Fate
Missy Ends Up Being The Least Successful Cooper Sibling.
Missy isn’t the first Cooper kid to not go to college. In Young Sheldon season 5, Georgie dropped out of school and transitioned to working full-time. Despite the opposition from his parents, he ultimately ended up as a successful entrepreneur as revealed when he finally debuted in The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon, on the other hand, is almost done with college, which is expected. However, Missy’s situation is a bit different from her oldest brother. She needs a more traditional path to be successful, while Georgie has always had entrepreneurial skills in him, which helped him succeed without finishing school.
Because of the lack of guard rails that would keep her on a straight path, Missy becomes the most successful Cooper sibling. Considering her tendencies, she needed a more solid path to ensure that she would reach her full potential, especially after George’s unexpected death. Young Sheldon has yet to deal with the tragic incident, but it is confirmed to happen before The Big Bang Theory prequel wraps up. While that part of Missy’s life wouldn’t be shown on-screen anymore, Georgie had already revealed in the nerd-centric sitcom that she was a “dumb teenager” on the heels of their dad’s passing.
