Young Sheldon Star Geca Flores Hints at a Big New Role: ‘You’re Gonna Love It! md13

Annie Potts is back with a new project! Fans will get to see more of the Young Sheldon star as she takes on a captivating role in the upcoming series Best Medicine.

The veteran actress is closing the year with something to look forward to, as Fox introduces the comedy-drama.

Ahead of its highly anticipated release, the 73-year-old actress gave a first look at her character and offered a glimpse of the talented ensemble cast.

While viewers fondly remember her as Meemaw, the fun, loving and protective grandmother of Sheldon Cooper on the CBS spin-off, Potts will showcase her versatility as the independent and feisty aunt of Dr. Martin Best, played by Josh Charles.

The sneak peek highlights the highly skilled Doctor Martin, who left his high-powered medical career in Boston to be a small town doctor in a quaint East Coast fishing village. The location was close to him because this is where he usually spent his summers as a child.

However, despite his expertise in the medical field, his lack of people skills often rubbed the quirky, close-knit locals the wrong way.

In one scene, Best reunites with his Aunt Sara, played by Potts, who spends her days working as a lobster fisher and enjoying life on her boat.

“I find the people here demanding, irrational and far too chatty at the supermarkets,” Dr. Best remarked as he observed his new surroundings.

However, his condition and unique personality made both his job and forming connections with the locals a real challenge.

Following the teaser, the Designing Women star expressed her excitement to share the thrilling news with her fans.
