Young Sheldon Star Gushes Over How Much Missy & Sheldon Have Grown Ahead Of Season 7

Young Sheldon star, Raegan Revord gushes over how much Missy and Sheldon have grown in the last six years ahead of the prequel’s final season.
Raegan Revord gushes over how much Missy and Sheldon have grown ahead of Young Sheldon season 7. Mary and George’s kids have become the center of The Big Bang Theory prequel’s storytelling despite Sheldon being its titular character. The twins, in particular, have had a rough year in Young Sheldon season 6, both in terms of their individual arcs and their relationship as siblings. It’s easy to forget that just several years ago, they were adorable kids, with seemingly no care in the world.
In a new post from Revord, she gushes over a video of her and Iain Armitage several years ago while posing for Young Sheldon promotional shots.
The pair may have been around 9-10 years old during the photo shoot, just how much they have grown in the series. Now, they’re 16 and 15 years old, respectively, while their characters, Missy and Sheldon are a couple of years younger in Young Sheldon season 7. The post is a reminder of how big they have gotten on screen since The Big Bang Theory prequel begins.

Will Missy Return In Young Sheldon’s Georgie and Mandy Spinoff?
Sheldon and his family’s story in Texas may be coming to an end once Young Sheldon season 7 wraps up. That being said, while the boy genius moves to Pasadena and George potentially dies, Georgie and Mandy will headline a brand new spinoff that will focus on their day-to-day lives as new parents to Baby Cece. No other cast members have been announced aside from Montana Jordan and Emily Osment, but if the series continues to take place in Medford, it will be difficult to do it without any appearance from Missy.
Per The Big Bang Theory canon, Missy (and Mary) remained tied to Georgie after Sheldon left to begin his post-graduation studies at Caltech. Old Georgie himself revealed pieces of information about what their life was, and it wasn’t a walk in the park — especially for him. As it turns out, he took over the family after George died because Mary was too burdened by grief to function while Missy continued to rebel. The latter sounds like a wealth of opportunities for compelling storylines.

Whether Missy appears in the next Young Sheldon spinoff is currently uncertain, but there really isn’t any drawbacks to involving her. As seen in the Instagram post, Revord has grown up with the character and it will be interesting to see what she does next. Despite both The Big Bang Theory and its prequel underusing her, Missy still manages to stand out as a character. It would be a shame if CBS doesn’t take advantage of that.
