NBC is adding another comedy to its lineup this winter, and this one puts Tracy Morgan back where he’s most comfortable, playing a larger than life character who is trying to figure out what comes next, as NBC sets the stage for his latest series.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins teams Morgan with Daniel Radcliffe in a show built around a comeback that is anything but smooth. It is less about a clean redemption arc and more about what happens when someone who used to matter is trying to be relevant again, and realizing that the world may not be waiting.

What the Show Is About

Morgan plays Reggie Dinkins, a former star whose career has taken a very public hit. He is trying to rebuild, even as the people around him are not always convinced he deserves another shot, as NBC unveils his messy comeback story in The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.

Radcliffe co stars as Arthur Tobin, who becomes part of Reggie’s attempt to turn things around. Their relationship drives much of the show’s humor, especially as ambition, ego, and reality start clashing.

The main cast also includes Erika AlexanderBobby MoynihanPrecious Way, and Jalyn Hall, filling out Reggie’s complicated orbit.

Familiar Faces Pop In

Oh, and did we mention the guest stars? Because wow. NBC is stacking the lineup with Megan Thee StallionHeidi GardnerRonny ChiengAnna Camp, and Craig Robinson. Basically, they pulled out all the stops. This cast list alone is worth tuning in for.

Megan Thee Stallion appears as Denise, a recently divorced mom who sparks a flirtation with Arthur, adding another storyline outside of Reggie’s comeback efforts.

When the Series Hits NBC

February 23rd, Monday night. That is when it all goes down on NBC. They are airing the pilot at 8, and then right after at 7:30, viewers get an episode nobody has seen yet. Pretty smart move by NBC, honestly, and it’s clear NBC sets this up to hook people right away.
