Although Yellowstone has completed its original storyline, the aftershocks of the “war” between star Kevin Costner and creator Taylor Sheridan remain the hottest topic in the news in April 2026. Newly leaked behind-the-scenes documents reveal that the death of the character John Dutton was actually changed at the last minute due to irreconcilable disagreements about the script for part 5.
While Costner is busy with his own epic Horizon project , fans are still fiercely divided on social media. One side supports Sheridan’s boundless creativity, while the other laments the loss of an icon who built the Yellowstone empire.
