After several years of dating, Rex Linn popped the question to Reba McEntire on Christmas Eve in 2024, and the two Happy’s Place co-stars have since been living their best lives as an engaged couple.

There’s good news on the professional front too, as their NBC sitcom has been renewed for a third season!

“No, we haven’t set a date,” Linn said about marrying the Queen of Country when asked by Extra at NBCUniversal’s Emmy Luncheon on April 22 in Beverly Hills, California. “We’re just enjoying our engagement right now. And I’m having a blast enjoying the engagement.”

Linn did spill the beans on some tentative details about their wedding plans though, like where they plan to hold the event.

“We’re going to do it in Tennessee on the ranch,” Linn told Extra of where he and McEntire will marry. “We’ve got a great ranch in Tenessee. We’re going to have all of our animals there. I don’t think it’ll be too big, we might have a small wedding, and then possibly have a big party. We don’t know yet, we haven’t figured that out yet.”

When is the Season 2 finale of Happy’s Place?
The final two episodes of Happy’s Place Season 2 will air back-to-back on Friday, April 24, starting at 8/7c on NBC, with both episodes available the following day on Peacock.

At 8/7c, “Everyone’s a Critic” airs as the penultimate episode of the season. The logline teases staff performance reviews conducted by Bobbie and Isabella that go off the rails quickly.

Then, the Happy’s Place season finale airs at 8:30/7:30c.

“Couples Counseling” sets the stage for a dramatic ending to the season. “After Bobbie starts serving patrons at the speakeasy, Isabella accuses her of stealing customers, causing the sisters to attend couples counseling,” the episode’s logline reads, adding that “Emmett tries his best to gently break up with Monica.”
