CBS has unveiled its primetime schedule for the upcoming 2026-2027 broadcast season, revealing that Tracker season 4 will hold onto its spot on Sunday nights at 9 PM. Although an exact date was not revealed, it will be coming back this fall.
Enjoying its reign as the most-watched primetime telecast in the United States, rivaled only by the NFL, the action drama has taken the approach of spotlighting the supporting Tracker cast. Recent episodes have focused on Reenie (Fiona Rene), Colter’s confidant and occasional love interest, as she’s been pushing herself too hard while simultaneously exploring romances of her own.
The ensemble has also shifted, welcoming Chris Lee as a series regular. The actor has been recurring as Randy, a tech expert who was first introduced as the cousin of Bobby (Eric Graise). Graise left the CBS series at the end of season 2, along with Abby McEnany as Velma Bruin. Their exits were explained as Bobby moving on to a new life opportunity, while Velma left to patch things up with Teddi (Robin Weigert), who left at the end of season 1.
Despite the much-discussed Tracker changes, which leave Rene as the only original series regular alongside Hartley, the show is still going strong. It consistently leads broadcast television and averages over 16 million viewers per episode when taking into account multi-platform viewing over a period of 35 days.
Tracker is based on the bestselling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver, telling the story of Colter Shaw as a lone-wolf survivalist who uses his knowledge and skills to find the missing and collect rewards. It’s executive produced by Hartley, Ken Olin, Elwood Reid, Connie Dolphin, Sharon Lee Watson, and Alex Katsnelson. It’s now confirmed to be back for another round, helping to anchor CBS’s schedule.
