Someone famous is coming to Edgewater!

Sheriff Country has just a few episodes left before the May 22 season finale, and fans have enjoyed how the show has embraced country music in its soundtrack. Now, the series is taking its love of the genre one step further.

According to an Instagram announcement from TV Line on April 30, Grammy Award-winning country singer Maren Morris will make an acting cameo on the show. Her episode is slated to premiere on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

“Maren Morris is taking a trip to Edgewater!” the caption read alongside pictures of Maren and lead actress Morena Baccarin, who plays Sheriff Mickey Fox. “The Grammy-winning musician will guest-star in the penultimate Season 1 episode of Sheriff Country on Friday, May 15, at 8/7c on CBS.”

Fans were thrilled about getting the chance to see Maren act on Sheriff Country.

“Consider me SAT,” one person wrote in the comments. “🙌🙌 I’m so excited. 🍿,” another replied. “MY SHAYLA DOES IT ALL @marenmorris,” a different follower exclaimed.

The logline for the episode, titled “Compromised,” says the singer will portray Hazel, a sponsor for Mickey’s daughter, Skye Fraley (played by Amanda Arcuri). Maren will also sing an original song for the show, called “Parachute.”

Maren isn’t the only country superstar who’s popped up in the Fire Country/Sheriff Country universe. Viewers got to see a Kane Brown cameo in Fire Country season 1, and Jelly Roll famously appeared in season 3.
